Position: Account Manager -Personal Insurance
Summary: This position is responsible for providing prompt, accurate, courteous service to customers, producers and company personnel. The Account Manager -Personal Insurance is primarily responsible service aspect of all assigned accounts. They may be involved in sales of referred accounts or additional lines of coverage for personal insurance accounts. The position is responsible for integrating the Olson & Olson Ltd mission statement ideal into the fabric of job duties and actively and positively demonstrating the stated core values that are part of the Olson & Olson Ltd overall culture.
Salary: $50,000 - $80,000 annual.

Duties: -Demonstrate Core Values in all aspects of duties and responsibilities
-Grow and develop talents and insurance knowledge to the highest level possible.
-Assist in process documentation, implementation of new processes in Personal Lines areas.
-Meet with clients to discuss and handle their insurance needs.
-Gather information for new accounts, additional lines of business, renewals.
-Service Personal Lines accounts as assigned and aid in collections.
-Collect premiums per established agency procedures.
-Prepare and gather quotes from available and appropriate carriers for new business quotes, applications, and prepare proposals of insurance for new clients.
-Contribute and maintain positive working relationships with carriers.
-Initiate, screen and prepare endorsement requests for Personal Lines clients.
-Prepare and process cancellations when required.
-Prepare and process all requests for evidence of insurance as required within 24 hours of request.
-Review all applications, policies, endorsements and audits for accuracy.
-Setup and prepare new account files per agency procedures.
-Invoice all premium-bearing transactions.
-Prepare account summaries as required.
-Prepare ID cards, evidence of property, certificates, binders, and/or obtain underwriter approval on manuscript endorsements.
-Deliver policies, and related documents to insureds as needed.
-Maintain suspense items in a timely manner.
-Prepare expired policies for filing in dead files.
-Keep current on rates, forms and coverage changes through circulars, bulletins, trade publications, seminars and schools offered.
-Participate in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development.
-Maintain all client activity in the agency automation system.
-Service accounts in a manner to eliminate gaps in coverage, thus reducing our E&O exposures.
-Prioritize workload and/or request assistance as required.
-Document and assist with account claims as needed
-Immediately report all malfunctions of system software to the systems manager.
Qualifications: 5 years experience preferred in Personal Insurance, construction and related industries. Management or leadership experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. Knowledge of computer systems and operations. Good listening skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of commercial insurance and products. Professional designation is a plus.
-Occasional work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
-Frequently sit for long periods of time.
-This is a public contact position that requires appropriate business apparel.
Responsibilities may include travel to local client and carrier locations during the work day
-Candidate must have insured vehicle and be legally eligible to drive to a local location
-Must maintain applicable insurance licenses
-Stay updated on changes and enhancements of various systems used by the agency for maximum performance and efficiencies.
